How to make the Box Butterfly card

You can find the KIT version HERE
the DigiKit for Craft Artist HERE
and the Ready to Print version HERE

Firstly, sorry about the quality of the pics but the sun here is in, out, in, out!!!!!

Print off your worksheets, I printed a sheet of the the butterflies onto vellum
You'll also need a piece of narrow ribbon, 1 A4 piece of card and 1 strip of card measuring
the full length of an A4 (29.7cm) x 5cm wide) and a piece of acetate approx. 11.5cm x 9.5cm

To make up the box back, cut your A4 piece to 23.5cm long x 21cm wide

Score on all 4 edges 1.5cm and 4cm (as shown above)

Cut each corner as shown

Close up

Fold and crease all the score lines and attach DST as shown

Make the card stand using the strip of card by first folding in half lengthways

Here it is folded next to the stand panel I cut out

Through both thicknesses score from the folded edge 2.5cm

Fold & crease down as shown

Open it up and attach DST and close

Open up the piece as shown and on the side that has the fold down edge
measure up 3cm central and pierce a hole, thread your ribbon through
and secure on the other side

Here's the stand with the ribbon secured, I now want to close it down
so I smeared UHU glue (you can use DST if you prefer)

and here it is with the stand panel in place

Next we need to attach it the the back of the box by
adding DST to the fold down flap as shown

Keeping it central to the width and the bottom of the stand level
with the score line, secure.

Measure up from the score line 3cm and central to the stand and
pierce a hole

Thread the ribbon from the stand through from the back
and secure

This is what you should have up to now

This is how I cut out the centre of frames, I've slashed
a cross

cut away the excess

then come from underneath with my scissors for the final neat cut

Add DST around the opening on the back and attach the acetate

First secure down the small tabs (as though you were creating a normal box,
then peel back a little DST so you can secure the short edges to the long edges
as shown above

For ease of adjustment I like to smear a little UHU over the DST

With the frame facing down attach the box centralising it, leave to set

and here it is all done :)
From the backing paper included in the set I cut some flowers with a die to decorate
