Lady Gaga Has in Common With a Porta Potty

It's no secret that Lady Gaga has been deemed one of the most influential pop icons of the decade. She's been noted for her energetic music, outlandish outfits and unorthodox performances. Since there is so much hype based around Lady Gaga, we thought it might be fun to compare her crazy and eccentric persona to the portable restroom industry. With that being said, here are 5 things that Lady Gaga has in common with a portable restroom...
  1. Style: Lady Gaga is known for her ever changing looks and styles. In fact, during the few seconds it took for you to read this, there is a good chance the pop queen reinvented her look and style probably a dozen times. Much like the singer; portable restrooms tend to vary the same way. While you may be most familiar with a standard blue restroom, did you know that they come in a variety of different styles. They can also feature amenities like running water sinks, flushable toilets and more. Much like pop culture, the portable restroom industry has to change with the times to ensure our needs are met.
  2. Image: If you're like most people, you may wonder what type of image Lady Gaga is trying to portray. Some might say she's flirting with insanity while others would argue she's a perfect spokesperson for humanitarian rights. This disconnect has led the public to develop an image dissonance and misconception towards the superstar. While we're not quite sure what to think about Lady Gaga, we can relate to her image misconception. Much like the pop queen, the public has developed several mixed feelings towards our industry. The abuse of restrooms and lack of proper care has led the public to believe we're a disgusting and underappreciated commodity while others who have used our service recognize their importance in everyday life. What the public should be made aware of is that portable restrooms not only protect our health but also our environment. Without proper sanitation, waste would flow throughout our city streets and into our every day lives. Porta potties are one of the most cost effective solutions when plumbing is unavailable or too expensive to develop.
  3. Different from the Norm? It's not every day you see someone wear a dress made from raw meat or see someone perform on stage dressed like a cartoon character. These things are different from the norm and make us feel somewhat uncomfortable. With that being said, portable restrooms are also somewhat different from the norm and can create that same uneasiness. Whether it's the fear of a public facility or the uneasy feeling about not being able to flush, people tend to be somewhat shy when it comes to using them. While you may be under the belief that porta potties are the epitome of dirty, keep in mind that a lot of them can be cleaner than regular facilities. With the proper amount of usage and regular servicing, portable restrooms can be the perfect solution for events, construction and disaster relief. Underneath the plastic shell there is a convenient, low cost and inexpensive restroom that serves the public creating goodwill and a positive public image.
  4. Stay Longer/Spend More: Anyone who's ever been to a concert knows that the headlining performers typically perform at the end of the evening. This is because promoters have determined that a majority of concert goers will stay longer and ultimately spend more money waiting for the featured act to perform. This is while you'll undoubtedly sit through a few less than stellar performances prior to the Gaga. Similarly, portable restrooms also encourage people to stay longer at events and spend more money. By providing guests an on-site restroom facility they can sneak away for shorter periods of time without ever having to leave the event. If that convenience were not available they'd have to leave the event and possibly not return. This could easily equate to significant revenue lost.
  5. Increase Productivity: It's a fact of life that music is one of the most inspirational forms of media out there. It increases adrenaline which in turn boosts productivity. This is why you'll find Lady Gaga on a lot of iPod's at your local gym. Her music provides that extra boost to run a little faster or lift a little more, making your workouts more productive. Now you're probably wondering how a portable restroom can increase your adrenaline level and productivity. Unfortunately, adrenaline is one analogy we can't produce; however, we can connect the dots when it comes to productivity. Portable restrooms have been proven to increase worker productivity day in and day out. By keeping workers on site there is less time lost commuting to and from a local public restroom facility. This boost in productively saves time but it also saves on labor costs. A true win-win!
So there you have it, 5 things that Lady Gaga has in common with portable restrooms. Sure, maybe not what you were expecting, but perhaps you learned a thing or two about the portable sanitation industry. While we may seem like an unorthodox industry, keep in mind we do the dirty work so you can relax and continue with your everyday activities. We provide a service that helps save money, protects the environment, increases productivity and promotes goodwill.
